A low pressure system migrating across Ontario and Quebec will bring plenty of snow to northern New England.
After causing plenty of destruction over the Mississippi Valley to close out the work week, a disturbance will now bring plenty of heavy snow across the northern portions of New England. This system will continue tracking through Ontario and Quebec today, causing snow showers to continue throughout the day. Light snow accumulation is expected to continue for New York, Vermont and New Hampshire while Maine will see the bulk of the snow totals.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are already in place for northern New Hampshire and most of Maine.
Snow totals by the end of the day today will range from 1 to 3 inches over northern New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. Portions of New Hampshire may even see totals nearing 4 to 5 inches. Across Maine, snow will pummel the region. Areas north of I95 in Maine will see accumulating snow of 5 to 10 inches while areas south will see 2 to 5 inches. Light ice accumulation may also glaze the I95 corridor in Maine as well with up to 0.05 inches possible.
