A tornado-warned storm caused damage in Americus, Georgia, on Tuesday, August 17, as Tropical Depression Fred prompted severe weather warnings across the Atlanta area.
This drone footage released by Sumter County Sheriff’s Office shows the extent of damage in the city of Americus.
Flash flooding remained a threat across Georgia into Wednesday morning as the tropical depression was forecast to move out of the state, according to the National Weather Service.
