The fog will likely dissipate before sunrise as a cold front finally moves through. Very cold wind chills ranging from 12 to 20 degrees will impact locations along and north of the Interstate 10/12 corridor. Wind chills of 20 to 25 degrees will affect locations south of this corridor. * WHERE...Northern Hancock, Northern Harrison, Northern Jackson, Southern Hancock, Southern Harrison, and Southern Jackson Counties. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 4 AM CST Sunday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 9 PM Sunday to 9 AM CST Monday. * IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside. If you do not have heat in your home or lack shelter, you can call 211 or visit for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the cold.
