As of 8 PM, a band of light to moderate snow was moving east across western MN. Surface observations generally reveal visibility reductions between 1-3 miles within the snow band. Various sites have dropped below 1 mile, though this has typically been a short lived occurrence. The combination of falling snow and a dusting to half inch of snow accumulation may create hazardous travel conditions this evening. The band is forecast to slide eastward across south central Minnesota into western Wisconsin overnight.
