-Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Anchorage AK 459 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 Bristol Bay Borough (Naknek and King Salmon)- Northern Bristol Bay Coast-Lake Iliamna / Nila Vena / Nanvarpak- 459 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MONDAY TO 1 AM AKST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 5 to 8 ft above the normal highest tide line. * WHERE...Coastline from Dillingham to Naknek. * WHEN...Late Monday morning into very early Tuesday morning. Highest water levels expected during the high tide between 3pm and 7pm AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwesterly winds gusting 45 to 50 mph over Bristol Bay waters late Monday morning will increase wave heights along the coast. This timeframe coinciding with the high tide Monday evening will promote coastal waters rising 5 to 8 ft above the normal highest tide line. Winds shifting westerly through Tuesday morning will lower water levels. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore. &&

-URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK 458 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 Lime Village-Lake Iliamna / Nila Vena / Nanvarpak- Including the cities of Iliamna, Kokhanok, Nondalton, Port Alsworth, and Lime Village 458 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM AKST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 18 inches, with localized amounts up to 30 inches from Port Alsworth to Igiugig. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Visibility reduced to one half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Lime Village and the Lake Iliamna, Nila Vena, and Nanvarpak areas * WHEN...Until 11 AM AKST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will develop this afternoon and continue through Monday before tapering off to snow showers Monday evening.
