Southeastern Sonoma County in northern California... * Until 1000 AM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 656 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Mark West Creek, Colgan Creek, Wiggins Creek, and Santa Rosa Creek are in action stage due to runoff from resent rainfall. Additionally, law enforcement has reported flooding in and around Valley Ford. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Windsor, Sebastopol, Cotati, Tomales, Dillon Beach, Point Reyes Station, South Santa Rosa Cdp, Roseland, Forestville, Inverness, Occidental, South Santa Rosa, Graton and Bodega Bay. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to 2.0 ft inundation is possible. * WHERE...Adjacent to the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays. * WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 2 PM PST Saturday.
