Snow, or a rain-snow mix, is expected to move east and southeast across the area beginning late this afternoon and lasting into this evening, possibly impacting the late afternoon and evening commute. Note that with surfaces and sub-surfaces remaining frozen from the recent prolonged cold, any rain on untreated roads with air temperatures slightly above freezing will also have the potential to cause slick spots, especially in shaded areas. As temperatures fall below freezing this evening and overnight, any wet spots will quickly freeze on area roads.
