The heavy, wet snow will stick to trees and power lines, resulting in scattered tree damage and power outages. Record breaking snowfall totals are possible. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 10 inches. Bands of heavy snow will continue to develop and push inland into the Delmarva peninsula through early this morning. Snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour have been observed, and will continue impacting the area through the predawn hours. Additionally, winds gusting up to 45 mph inland, and up to 60 mph along the coast will result in areas of blowing snow and blizzard conditions. Whiteout conditions will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening.

Many roads become impassable. Some damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Widespread minor to near moderate coastal flooding likely with the Monday afternoon high tide. Back-bay flooding may linger as far as Tuesday morning's high tide. Further extensions will be warranted. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
