Flood Advisory National Weather Service Honolulu HI 941 PM HST Thu Mar 19 2026 Honolulu HI- 941 PM HST Thu Mar 19 2026 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 1115 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 938 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain over the northern slopes of Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Heaviest rain was falling along and north of a line from Waianae Valley to Schofield Barracks to Kahuku. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... the entire island of Oahu. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. A Flood Watch is also in effect for the state of Hawaii through Sunday afternoon HST. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 1115 PM HST if flooding persists.

Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A kona low developing west of the islands will draw abundant moisture northward as it strengthens and eventually departs to north early next week. Several rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall are anticipated.
