-Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 138 PM PST Mon Dec 22 2025 Ventura County Beaches-Malibu Coast-Los Angeles County Beaches- 138 PM PST Mon Dec 22 2025 ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM TUESDAY TO 11 AM PST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. * WHEN...From 11 PM Tuesday to 11 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor to potentially isolated moderate coastal flooding for south-facing beaches especially during high tides. This is expected to occur from Tuesday evening through Thursday due to strong southerly winds. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks. &&

Mud and debris flows will be possible across foothill and mountain areas, including recent burn scars. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A moderate to strong atmospheric river will impact Southwestern California Tuesday through Thursday. Heavy rainfall is expected with high rainfall rates.
