At 445 PM...radar indicated that the snow would be ending along the Mississippi river between 5 and 6 pm. In southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa where the snow has ended, freezing drizzle has been reported, heaviest in Minnesota. This has caused a slight increase in accidents, according to law enforcement, in southeast Minnesota. In Wisconsin, as the snow comes to an end over the next hours, expect the same period of freezing drizzle to occur, causing slick roads to persist. The freezing drizzle will gradually come to an end this evening. The impact of the freezing drizzle and any ice glazing will be greatest for roads that are not covered in snow already or have treatments down for melting. Also, the drizzle will be more steady in southeast Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin. Be careful if moving about this this evening as conditions may be more slippery due to the combination of snow and freezing drizzle.
