-Special Weather Statement National Weather Service North Platte NE 1224 AM CST Fri Jan 2 2026 Eastern Cherry-Keya Paha-Boyd-Brown-Rock-Holt-Blaine-Loup- Garfield-Wheeler- Including the cities of Valentine, Springview, Spencer, Butte, Lynch, Ainsworth, Bassett, Rose, O'Neill, Atkinson, Dunning, Purdum, Brewster, Taylor, Burwell, Bartlett, and Ericson 1224 AM CST Fri Jan 2 2026 ...PATCHY TO AREAS OF DENSE FOG TONIGHT... Patchy to areas of dense fog is expected tonight across portions of northern and north central Nebraska. Visbility restrictions down to a half mile is expected at times especially in low-lying areas. Those traveling tonight should allow for extra time and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions. Conditions will slowly improve around sunrise Friday morning as light freezing rain and snow moves into the region.
