Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches, mainly along and north of M-28. Locally higher amounts near Sault Ste. Marie and areas near Whitefish Bay. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph will lead to blowing snow. * WHERE...Central Chippewa and Western Chippewa Counties. * WHEN...Until 5 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The combination of gusty winds and falling snow will lead to blowing snow and very low visibilities. Hazardous to potentially dangerous driving conditions are expected under the most robust snow bands. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve.
